Send us your writing today! We love mail at Dwelling and check our inbox often!

Please copy and paste your submission into the body of the email.

Include a bio written in third-person to accompany your piece. If you have a Twitter account please include your handle so we can shout from the rooftops when your piece is live on the site!

Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please notify us immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere by replying to your original submission email.

We do not publish previously published works.

Please only submit one piece per submission window (though you are welcome to submit to the DM Door Contest and the general submission window). As soon as a new submission window opens, we invite you to submit again. We love regular visitors! Early submission is encouraged. As soon as we have a full house the submission window will close.

We will respond to your submission in 1-2 weeks (or less)!

this is a home for...

  • Poetry (50 lines or less)

  • Fiction (Micro or Flash- 1000 words and under only please)

  • CNF (1000 words and under)

Works submitted should respond to the current submission window theme in some way. We are especially fond of sweet, happy, uplifting, and/or hilarious narratives. We will accept 14 pieces per submission window.

Rights revert to the author upon publication. We would love if you would credit Dwelling as the original site of publication!

At this time we are unable to pay contributors. We will, however, promote you on our Twitter account at @dwellinglit. We intend to nominate for The Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net in the future.
